The boring part, but an important one. We’ve written it as clearly as we could.

What data we collect and why
- Contact form: name, email, the service you’re interested in and your message. We use them to reply to you and, if you ask us to, to prepare a quote or a sample.
- Labs waiting list: email. We only use it to let you know when Labs launches.
We do not make automated decisions or build profiles with this data.
Legal basis
Your consent, which you give when you submit the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and, if we end up working together, the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
How long we keep it
For as long as the conversation lasts and, afterwards, for the time needed to deal with any legal liabilities. Waiting-list emails are deleted when you unsubscribe, or once Labs launches and there’s no reason to keep them.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell or hand over your data. To run the website we use providers that act as data processors:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (web hosting and page delivery), based in the USA. The international transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- FormSubmit (form handling), which forwards your messages to us by email. This may involve an international data transfer, covered by the safeguards required by the GDPR.
- Google Fonts (typefaces). When the page loads, your browser connects to Google servers, which receive your IP address.
- Our email provider, where we receive form messages at hola@blackroom.studio.
Your rights
You can request access to, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability of your data, object to its processing, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to hola@blackroom.studio. If you believe we haven’t handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
Cookies
This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. It only stores in your browser (local storage) whether you prefer light or dark mode and which language you chose, which is strictly technical and doesn’t require consent. If we add measurement tools in the future, we’ll update this page and ask for your permission first.
